Thursday 4th April 2019 is Red-Letter – a live music experience created, performed and produced by the latest generation of artists from Roundhouse’s flagship OnTrack programme (a groundbreaking six week project for 16-25 year olds funded by Universal Music and Joe Strummer Foundation).
A visual mixtape of new music by a collection of exciting rappers, singers, musicians and producers exploring themes of diversity, community and unity – told through their own stories – details
‘Red-Letter’ is 18 colours.
Sounds and shades.
‘Red-Letter’ is the fire that stirs the belly.
The ink that burns the pen.
The words that need to be heard.
2019. Great Britain. A government in chaos. A society more divided than ever.
The climate is heating up – but so are the questions.
‘Red-Letter’ asks ‘what unites us?’. ‘What does change look like?’.
A call to action through music.
We are the voice of now.
“The Joe Strummer Foundation have supported OnTrack for the past four years. Their backing has allowed us to offer this intensive, six-week music programme to dozens of young people who are not in education, employment or training, and provide transformational opportunities for young people to progress artistically and professionally. We would not have been able to achieve this without the Joe Strummer Foundation and their long-term support. Thank you!” – Cathy Weatherald, Community Participation Manager, Roundhouse Trust
OnTrack is a FREE community project for 16-25s not in education, employment or training. Participants will create and perform original music, and develop the technical skills required to put together a live music event while developing confidence, meeting like-minded people, and working towards an Arts Award qualification.
A special thanks to all our supporters – with your donations, your purchases of our merchandise & your fundraising you help to make important projects like this happen.
We are proud to be once more to have supported the On Track program at Roundhouse, Camden.
Good luck with tonight’s showcase!
