The release titled “Strummerville A Go-Go #001” will be a digital only album distributed via the charity’s official Bandcamp page. Supporters can download all 17 tracks for just £1, or pay any amount. Each download is a donation that will go directly to the Foundation and will allow us to continue our work.

The album is leading with a brand new re-working of The Clash track “Rock The Casbah” by Ranking Roger (The Beat) and the remix has already been generating a buzz online.

“I want to be part of The Joe Strummer Foundation because I knew The Clash, what they stood for, and know the monies will go to the right places and towards young musicians who will get a chance they wouldn’t otherwise. Joe would be proud of this and all the people involved. “We miss you mate”. A visionary truly missed.” – Ranking Roger

Here are the artists who have donated a track to the Strummerville A Go-Go campaign: Ranking Rogers, Armchair Committee, Kamino, Astrid’s Tea Party, Alexandra Jayne, Bill Mountain, Young Offenders, LazyTalk, Bare Hunter, Bella Figura, Noel O’Brien, Ballin’ Jacks, One Eyed Wayne, Thee Deadtime Philharmonic, Gemma Rogers & The Milmen, Bless & The New Thieves.
