JSF Runners united and raised over £1544 for the Joe Strummer Foundation over the weekend to celebrate Joe’s birthday.
Just fantastic!!!!
You guys are all awesome and your support means the world to us. We had runners all over the world coming together in support and it’s a beautiful thing.
LAST CALL!!
We’ve hit 74% of the target… can you help us with a final push to hit 100%? The donation page remains open for a few more days – click here for the last chance to get some shackles in
Massive shout-out to the coach Brian Prendergast for all of the help and encouragement along the way.
We’ve decided that the money raised will be donated to WAYout Arts in Freetown, Sierra Leone who we’ve been supporting for some 10 years now.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit on a few occasions and can ensure you that the money you all raised will go a long way.
The work they do changes the lives of street, vulnerable and conflict-affected young people through the arts.
There is some serious talent on the streets of Freetown and one of the things we are working on is the release of a compilation of original music recorded in the JSF studio and female prison.
More on that as it progresses. But for now, check out this track by Mash P that was recorded in Hastings, UK.
I hope to get back over soon to run a marathon… who’s in?
Jamie
