THE CIDER BOX, in collaboration with Strummerville brings Somerset to East London on Saturday 16th November at the Queen of Hoxton with a FREE, special, one-off event bringing rural heat to the urban freeze. There will be featured real ciders (including, of course, hot spiced cider and cider-brandy cocktails), pulled pork, acoustic music, crafts and games, a fire-pit, wigwam, and more.
Events spread over the day include a tombola; the top prize on this occasion being a weekend in Somerset, with a full tour of cider makers. Plus, live sets from brilliant bands such as the hotly tipped Animal Noise and The Din and others from the Strummerville stable that will keep you entertained. For those who love cider, talks from Somerset Ambassadors and cider makers will also feature on the day.
Joe Strummer once said that his idea of heaven was, “lying in a field with a flagon of Wilkin’s cider” which is why The Cider Box have very kindly decided to donate profits from the sale of Wilkin’s cider on the day to us!
