As part of our ongoing efforts to support projects around the world that create empowerment through music we must always seek to raise funds… preferably in a way thats unobtrusive to our community. As such we are excited to inform you that our charitable organisation is now on Amazon Smile.
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.co.ukThe difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organisation of your choice.
Every item available for purchase on amazon.co.uk is also available on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.co.uk) at the same price. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages.
What is AmazonSmile?
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support a charity of your choice every time you shop, at no cost to you. AmazonSmile is available at smile.amazon.co.uk on your web browser and can be activated in the Amazon Shopping App for iOS and Android phones. When you shop with AmazonSmile, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as amazon.co.uk, with the added bonus that AmazonSmile will donate a portion of the purchase price to your selected charity.
How do I shop with AmazonSmile on desktop?

How do I activate AmazonSmile in mobile app?
AmazonSmile is available for Amazon customers with the latest version of the Amazon Shopping app on their mobile phone, including Android devices with version 7.0+ or iOS devices with version 12+. To activate AmazonSmile in the Amazon Shopping app, simply tap on “AmazonSmile” within the Programmes & Features menu or Settings and follow the on-screen instructions.
Simply follow the instructions below to select The Joe Strummer Foundation as your charity and activate AmazonSmile in the app. Amazon will donate a portion of your eligible mobile app purchases to us.
How it works:
- Open the Amazon app on your phone
- Select the main menu (=) & tap on “AmazonSmile” within Programmes & Features
- Select The Joe Strummer Foundation as your charity
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate AmazonSmile in the mobile app
The AmazonSmile Foundation is a big deal for charities. As of February 2021 United Kingdom charities have received £7,460,532.47 and worldwide charities have received £202,010,871.79.
Remember to support our charity always shop at smile.amazon.co.uk make sure you have The Joe Strummer Foundation selected as you preferred charity.
